Group Exhibit of devilish proportions: beasts, otherworldly spirits+ dark noir. Film Premiere Blood Bath of the Bat Beast in sonar-o-rama. Popcorn, Scream, laugh & jeer as "winged terror descends from the skies." Planet Poe Theatre Classic tales and poems by America’s master of horror come to life in dramatic readings enhanced with music and sound effects, presented by Robert X. Planet and the Planet Poe Players. The full theatrical program also includes a selection of Edgar Allan Poe’s lesser-known works of humor and science fiction. Fourth annual Festival and the largest locally produced bellydance event in Arizona.

"Fall into Glamour"

Featuring wide-range of music, dance and venders, hosted by Levant al Sonora chapter of Middle-Eastern Culture and Dance Association (MECDA).  Drumming circle, Community Stage, Vending, Food & Hookahs.

Concert kicks-off campaign to transform blight into a “Green Art Park” - a tree filled sculpture garden with parking. Come Party for a cause with Dry River Yacht Club and Sonorous. Select fresh local brews from Four Peaks Brewery, munchies, culinary doorprises.

Lighthouse group exhibit  7-12pm, Come play in the dark at Lighthouse. Light up the Holidays, as luminous art is playfully displayed throughout the Alwun House gallery and into the gardens. With gallery lights off, self-illuminating art shines: including light boxes, shrines, sculpture, black light, neon, video, fire, lamps and even furniture. Exhibit opens with electrified concert, performance art, and even audience members join in with costumes aglow. Salon des Enfants

 

Phoenix Elementary School District #1 Art Teachers band together to create this juried exhibit. There will be approximately 300 pieces made by students in the 5th through 8th grades, representing 16 Schools, and 18 teachers. All art works sell for $20 with 100% going to student artist. Opening March 18th, the Alwun House Stage features school bands, Folklorico dancers, and choir; with families and the public supporting arts in our schools.

Steampunk Exhibit

with Opening Festival on April Fools Day.

Phoenix’s first reveal of the burgeoning Steampunk art movement. Objects re-imagine a juxtaposition of time and place, drawing from the aesthetic and steam driven technologies of Victorian industrialized 19th Century. Artists of this genre reconfigure steam-era or anachronistic technologies that redesign practical items into fantastical contraptions, illustrations and painting.
