Artists Storefront
Improvement Grant
The historic Alwun
House received a City of Phoenix “Artist Storefront Improvement” grant, for
construction and design of an artistic 11’ tall sign facing Roosevelt, lighting
up Downtown’s first art gallery.
Friends, art supporters and those wanting to leave their "mark" on downtown's
art legacy, are invited to place their name (or company) on downtown’s landmark sign. Help us reach our final stage goal
of $7,000. The City will match your contribution!
NO amount too small or large.
For contributions of $500 or more, your name (or company) will be permanently
etched on the sign’s foundation. All gifts are tax-deductible, as we’ve been a
501(c)3 non-profit arts organization since 1971.

Patron Contribution Opportunity
We’re inviting good, caring folks - like yourselves, to consider any tax-deductible contribution your generosity can afford. Remember the biblical “widow’s mite”? Every contribution helps light-up the historic location of Alwun House community arts organization. In our FINAL construction stage, we have yet to raise the last $7,000 to complete this 50/50 matching grant. Every dollar you contribute is matched by the City of Phoenix. Anyone contributing $500 or more before completion, will have their name etched on a plaque at the base of this sculptural monument.

The creative act is not performed by the artist alone; the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act. -- Marcel Duchamp
